symbolic of physical love.
|

and the juices of the tospit fruits, such as tospit and larma, and spices. Served like
beer, it is cheap and will get you drunk eventually, and is actually pretty good, until
you get to the bottom of the kettle. Ugh!!
|
 | Kajira/Kajirus, bondmaid/thrall: These are slaves, female and male
respectively. There are many types of slaves to be found, however, the the most common in
the tavern is the common kajira, a multipurpose personal slave, and the female tavern
slave. These slaves are referred to as kettle and mat slaves. In other words, they do
everything from serve as scullery, to cooking, serving, and warming Master's furs at
night. Pleasure slaves are often referred to in talks, but actually are not that common.
Just because a slave is used for pleasure, that does not qualify her as a pleasure slave.
However. the term is in common use now, as many female slaves are given the basic
instruction in how to serve as a sexual slave.
|
 | Pleasure Slave: A slave specially taught the arts of pleasure. A true
pleasure slave knows the position of a slave, many dances, how to cook, serve, and how to
make love to a man..all with superb skill. However, the house that trains such tends to
put its special flavor to a girl. Many prefer to train their own slaves, rather than have
the girl they owned trained like a dog unthinkingly. (Assassin of Gor , the fifth book,
has more details on the training)
|
 | Passion Slave: A girl, not trained, but Bred specifically for sex. No Earth
girl is EVER a passion slave. It inconceivable and impossible. No passion slave is ever
taken to Earth either. Passion slaves are almost never freed (the only known case was by a
rather soft and compassionate Earth man. The other possible case, after taking her life,
was acknowledged as free by those who would have had to have a funeral for her). Passion
slaves are bred true, and their children will have the mark of the house upon them. In
this way they are easily identified.. Male passion slaves are harder to identify, except
that he is uncommonly beautiful. DO NOT claim to be a passion slave, unless you have read
all there is of Gor and know all there is to be of Gor.
|
 | Free Woman: Free women are viewed by most Goreans as priceless. Men do not
breed with slaves, only a free woman bears a man his children. If a slave gets pregnant,
he would either enslave the child, or give it away. Or free the slave long enough to have
the child, and in some cases longer, especially if he has turned into mush, as some men
seem to be when a woman presents him with child. Free women's rights vary by city and
wealth A wealthy woman can get away with a lot. Women are often seen managing shops in the
city, since it is dangerous for women to travel, so the men do all the leg work and women
do the store fronts. A fee woman is never totally safe. It is not uncommon for young
tarnsmen to go roping women off the high bridges of the city just for fun. Sort of like a
panty raid, only taking the whole girl.
|
 | Free Companion: Free companions are the closest thing to a "wife"
that a Gorean has. A contract with another free person, usually of the opposite sex, for a
period of one year. If not re-avowed on its anniversary, the contract is considered
dissolved. Considering the life span of a Gorean is measured in centuries, not years, this
is very practical. Free companionships are automatically dissolved if either is enslaved.
|
 | Ahn: A Gorean Hour.
|
 | Ar: One of the oldest cities on Gor, it has 10,000 years of recorded
history.
|
 | Brand: Slaves on Gor are branded, usually with Kef, the Gorean equivalent of
'K'. Males slaves are branded with a block K, whereas the female slaves are branded with a
cursive K. Many Masters choose to design a unique brand for their slaves though. But the
most common is the Kef, signifying Kajira/Kajirus.
|
 | Cylinder: The Gorean equivalent of a tower or office building. They have
electric lights, elevators, as well as stairs. Some may reach a thousand feet high. Each
tower is usually reachable by a bridge. The tallest tower in the city is the cylinder of
justice (like city hall)
|
 | Ehn: A Gorean minute.
|
 | Har-ta!: Faster!
|
 | "I wish you well": good bye, farewell
|
 | Robe of Concealment: Women of Gor TYPICALLY wear the the Robes if they are
free. Only her eyes show. If any more than her eyes show, she is thought to be slutty
(actually showing the face would be like going out nude). Most women would take being
stripped naked of all clothing and left their veils. Men of course can let anything hang
out (grin), unless there is an objecting free woman nearby.
|
 | Tal: Hi, hello
